Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 16, 2026
Companion Choice ("we") collects as little data as possible. This page explains what we collect, why, and your rights.
1. What we collect
- Analytics: we use a privacy-friendly analytics tool to see aggregate page views and referrers. It does not track you across sites and does not sell data. The tool is Plausible Analytics, which is cookieless.
- Contact emails: if you email us, we keep your message to respond. We never sell or share email addresses.
- Server logs: our host keeps standard web-server logs (IP address, pages requested) for security and debugging, retained per the host's policy.
2. Cookies
- Affiliate cookies: when you click an outbound link to a reviewed app, that company's site may set a cookie to credit us if you sign up. That's how affiliate commissions work. Those cookies belong to the third party and are governed by their privacy policy, not ours.
- Analytics cookies: none — Plausible Analytics is cookieless and does not require a cookie banner.
- We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
3. What we don't do
- No accounts, no signups, no passwords stored on this site.
- We don't sell, rent, or share personal data with anyone except as required by law.
4. Your rights
You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing us. If you're in the EU/UK, this policy is intended to meet GDPR transparency requirements; if in California, CCPA/CPRA — contact us to exercise access or deletion rights.
5. Changes
We'll update this page if our practices change, with a new "last updated" date. Material changes will be noted here for 30 days.
